My location is Meadowbank, Sydney, Australia, and can be reached easily by ferry, train, bus or car.
You can either come to my studio or you can undertake tuition from your own location - be it home, school, office etc. - anywhere in the world, using a webcam.
I charge for my time so the price is the same, no matter what your location. Whatever I can help you with, in that time, I will. I also play Piano, Guitar and Flute, so I can help with many other areas such as Band Leadership, Rehearsal Planning, Musicianship, Theory, Charts, Repertoire etc.
Pay as you go, book as you go, but absolutely 24 hours notice is required or you have to pay for the lesson. For online lessons, payment needs to be made BEFORE the lesson can commence.
Some people come for only one or two lessons, some come and go and others come long-term. It is totally your call! By the way, please try to give yourself time. It is better to get a singing lesson the week, a couple of weeks, or ideally about two months before an audition or performance, rather than the last minute approach such as the day before. (It amazes me how many people think of getting help just before they are due to perform, rather than giving themselves the benefit of some time to work on their performance.) If you have an audition, performance or a tour coming up, please call me sooner rather than later! Having said that, last minute fixing is one of my specialities :)
I am flexible regarding lesson times. Booking a singing lesson is just a matter of organising a mutually convenient time. (Of course it is your lesson time, but please, do not be late. It is unprofessional. Also, please do not waste precious lesson time on things like going to the loo!
I repeat that twenty-four hours notice of cancellation is required. Failure to give 24 hours notice of cancellation means that you have to pay for the lesson anyway. You never have to give a reason for cancellation, but you will ALWAYS have to pay for the lesson if you do not give twenty-four (24) hours notice of cancellation. There are no exceptions to this rule.
My fees in Australian Dollars are:
$40 per half hour lesson
$70 per hour lesson
I do not charge GST
Remember, if you are a self learner and want to work at your own pace to increase your singing skills, check out my book Singing For Everyone. It comes with accompanying mp3s so that you can either sing an exercise alone, just with the musical backing, or you can sing along with me. You can work away at each exercise until you are comfortable. The book contains all of my special singer tricks. I wrote the book so that if I get hit by a bus, the technique will not die with me. Working through the book and the accompanying mp3s is a really great way to gain your singing skills. You can do it privately and then when you are quite ready, feeling confident and sounding great, you can wow your friends and family with your singing performance, or blitz the next audition you go to.
